Keeping children physically and mentally well is every parent’s first priority but every child faces challenges an experiences difficulties from time to time.
Keeping physically active
NHS guidance states that children aged2 - 5 years should be physically active for a total of 3 hours a day, every day.
Children aged 5 - 18 years should be physically active for a total of one hour a day, every day and should not spend long periods sitting or lying still.

This is not always easy to achieve, particularly with the challenges of screens and devices. Attending one of our Before or After School clubs can help keep children physically active. You can find details of our clubs here. We also have lots of ideas for keeping children active at home here.
If your child would like to join a sports club or activity outside of school, you can find useful information here.
