Our Saints

Our Patron Saint

The patron saint of our school is Saint Joseph.  Saint Joseph is the husband of Mary, mother of Jesus and the earthly father of Jesus.  Joseph is sometimes called the foster father of Jesus.  In the bible, there are no spoken words of Joseph.  The bible tells us that Joseph took excellent care of his family, even during difficult times and that we worked very hard in his job as a carpenter. Joseph trusted in God when he heard that God wanted him to marry Mary and bring up the son Jesus. Joseph is a wonderful example to us all of the quiet, kind, care for others which we can show and of the importance of working hard.

Our house saints

All of our children are a member of a house team and know the lives and example of their house saint.  St Andrew, St David, St George and St Patrick are an example to us all.

Our class saints

Each class learns more about the life and example of a saint to help them to live a more saintly life.  Our class saints link to our Catholic Social Teaching principles too.
